Four years ago I fractured my lower back. Over time my fractures healed
but the pain remained. Before my injury I was extremely active and
regularly participated in weight training, kickboxing, and running.
After my injury my lifestyle drastically changed. It was difficult to
sit or stand for periods longer than thirty minutes and exercising
became frustrating and painful. I couldn't even wear high heels!
Determined not to allow my injury to take control of my life, I tried
several methods of recovery including physical therapy and yoga; yet, I
still continued to have lower back pain. Becoming more indifferent
about my recovery, I began to recall a time where I was at my optimum
physical ability.
I was taking Nathan's kickboxing class at Georgia State. I was
confident that his years of knowledge and experience as an athlete and
instructor could benefit my recovery. Nathan designed a fluid and
seamless workout that was creative, challenging with the focus on
strengthening my lower back and core. After training with Nathan I
continued applying the techniques and no longer have lower back pain.
The absence of my back pain is life changing! I can exercise regularly,
sit through a movie, and stand all night at a rock concert. I've even
